DANNY'S L/S VTEC

Danny came to see us with his ls/vtec already running.He bought himself some new parts.Skunk 2 stage 3 cams, custom intake manifold, ARP head studs, Cometic head gasket. Plus some other goodies.We took the motor apart and gave it a full rebuild including, reground and recoated crankshaft with all new bearings, type R pistons and a complete rebuilding of the head.The motor was assembled, the cams were dialed in, then the beast would get a street tune with the new Hondata S-200. Once Danny broke in his new motor, we took it to the dyno.The power was slightly down as to what we expected.Possibly the custom intake, or the 4-2-1 headers.We will keep you posted.Danny say's the car is a rocket on the highway!

Danny has been to Napierville recently and ran low 14's at 102 mph, and with slicks the civic hatch was able to put down 13.80.With minor changes Danny should be able to put the civic into the mid 13's.At the last Napierville show and shine, Danny took first place honors in a burnout contest,pics soon!

Danny has been several times to the track since my last update, and his car runs constant 13.4's at 102 mph.Danny will keep at it and of course he will be trying to get the car into the very low 13's.Good luck! The addition of an Sir LSD transmission surly gave the car that extra little edge!!
